Text-Dependent Speaker Recognition

2008
Text-dependent speaker recognition characterizes a speaker recognition task, such as verification or identification, in which the set of words (or lexicon) used during the testing phase is a subset of the ones present during the enrollment phase. The restricted lexicon enables very short enrollment (or registration) and testing sessions to deliver an ...

Text-dependent speaker recognition using vector quantization

ICASSP '85. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
An application of source coding to speaker recognition is described. The method is text-dependent - the text spoken is known, and the problem is to determine who said it. Each speaker is represented by a sequence of vector quantization codebooks; known input utterances are classified using these codebook sequences and the resulting classification ...

Score Fusion in Text-Dependent Speaker Recognition Systems

2011
According to some significant advantages, the text-dependent speaker recognition is still widely used in biometric systems. These systems are, in comparison with the text-independent, more accurate and resistant against the replay attacks. There are many approaches regarding the text-dependent recognition.

Text-Dependent Speaker Recognition With Random Digit Strings

IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing, 2016
In this paper, we explore joint factor analysis (JFA) for text-dependent speaker recognition with random digit strings. The core of the proposed method is a JFA model by which we extract features. These features can either represent overall utterances or individual digits, and are fed into a trainable backend to estimate likelihood ratios.

A modified HME architecture for text-dependent speaker identification

IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, 1996
A modified hierarchical mixtures of experts (HME) architecture is presented for text-dependent speaker identification. A new gating network is introduced to the original HME architecture for the use of instantaneous and transitional spectral information in text-dependent speaker identification. The statistical model underlying the proposed architecture

Improvement in Text-Dependent Mispronunciation Detection for English Learners

2016
This paper put forth two novel approaches to effectively improve the performance of mispronunciations detection in English learners speech. On one hand, a distance measure called Kullback–Leibler Divergence (KLD) between Hidden Markov Models (HMMs) is introduced to optimize the probability space of a posteriori probability; On the other hand, back end ...

Text-dependent speaker verification using data fusion

1995 International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2002
A new system is presented for text-dependent speaker verification. The system uses data fusion concepts to combine the results of distortion-based and discriminant-based classifiers. Hence, both intraspeaker and interspeaker information are utilized in the final decision.
