Green Fuel Combustion Synthesis of CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 Nanoparticles for Photocatalytic and Antibacterial Applications

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silver‐doped cerium oxide nanoparticles (Ag/CeO2 NPs) were synthesized using Ricinus communis seed extract as a bio‐derived fuel in a solution combustion method. The combustion reaction, carried out at 450°C with AgNO3 and (NH4)2[Ce (NO3)6] as metal precursors, produced CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 NPs.

Synergistic Advanced Oxidation and Physicochemical Treatment Strategies for Antibiotic Removal and Resistance Mitigation in Water

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The presence of antibiotics in water not only causes environmental pollution but also increases the growth of antibiotic‐resistant bacterial genes, which pose serious threats to human beings and other water residents. Large numbers of people are reportedly affected by the resistant bacterial genes, as many broad‐spectrum antibiotics are not ...

A green approach for the treatment of dye and surfactant contaminated industrial wastewater [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology
Synthetic dyes, particularly reactive and acid dyes, are commonly used in the textile industry because of their advantages as excellent color fastness and brightness. Also, surfactants are used for an increment of coloring success in the textile industry.

Waterless textile dyeing

open access: yes, 2013

Preparation of MOEAMCl and MAAm Based Hydrogels and Effective Use in Anionic Dye Adsorption

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 142, Issue 16, April 20, 2025.
ABSTRACT In this study, hydrogels based on [2‐(Methacryloyloxy)ethyl]trimethylammonium chloride (MOEAMCl) and methacrylamide (MAAm) were synthesized for the removal of anionic dyes from aqueous solutions. Following detailed characterization, the use of hydrogels for methyl orange (MO) adsorption was investigated.

Sustainable Fabrication of Reddish Silk Fabric with Enhanced Color Intensity and Fastness Using Lycopene

open access: yesTextiles
A significant development has been the integration of natural elements with bio-based materials to produce entirely bio-based functional textiles. In this investigation, lycopene, derived from tomatoes, is used as a new natural red dye for silk.

Greener textile dyeing [PDF]

open access: yesC&EN Global Enterprise, 2018
In early June, Dalton Cheng realized something big was afoot. Cheng, who is head of technology for the textile printing firm Intech Digital, heard from customers that Chinese government authorities in Jiangsu province had shut down massive factories that produce synthetic dyes used by the textile industry.

Separation of Polyamide 66 From Blends With Wool Through Selective Dissolution: Implications of the Presence of Dyes

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
The study assesses dye impacts on PA66/wool recycling via selective PA66 dissolution in calcium chloride–ethanol–water and water reprecipitation. Acid dyes migrate into solvent, yielding color‐free, melt‐spinnable PA66 and reusable wool. Metal‐complex dyes remain, altering PA66 melt viscosity and requiring extraction or repurposing.
