Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

Modification of ramie fibre with a mixture of NaOH solution and iso-propanol solvent for enhancing its dyeing performance

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Deep shade dyeing of ramie fibre is challenging due to its high degree of polymerisation, orientation, and crystallinity. The present work involved pre-treating ramie fibre with a solution containing a mixture of NaOH and alcohol in order to improve its ...

Electrolyte influence on sorption behaviours of Direct Blue 71 dye on ramie fibre

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Ramie loose fibre was dyed using Direct Blue 71 dye at 70, 80, 90 and 100°C without and with NaCl electrolyte in order to investigate the distinction of dye sorption behaviours. The results show that the dye exhaustion increases with addition of NaCl and

Microstructure, Thermal Transport, and Dry‐Sliding Tribology of Powder‐Metallurgy Al7075 Composites Reinforced With Sol–Gel‐Derived ZnO–rGO Hybrid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Sol–gel‐derived ZnO–rGO hybrid nanoparticles enable Al7075 powder‐metallurgy composites to achieve concurrent gains in hardness and thermal conductivity while markedly lowering friction and wear. The hybrid architecture couples ZnO‐based load support with rGO‐assisted lamellar sliding and heat spreading, revealing a promising route toward lightweight ...
