Assessing Altered Coating Adhesion on Plasma‐Deoxidized Surfaces Under Oxygen‐Free Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the effectiveness of atmospheric pressure plasma pretreatment in modifying silicon and stainless steel surfaces to improve adhesion. Argon‐hydrogen plasma increases surface roughness and improves adhesion strength, whereas pure argon results in smoother surfaces and structural changes.

Semantic Segmentation for SAR Image Based on Texture Complexity Analysis and Key Superpixels

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
In recent years, regional algorithms have shown great potential in the field of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image segmentation. However, SAR images have a variety of landforms and a landform with complex texture is difficult to be divided as a whole ...

Texture-Aware Superpixel Segmentation [PDF]

open access: yes2019 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), 2019
Most superpixel algorithms compute a trade-off between spatial and color features at the pixel level. Hence, they may need fine parameter tuning to balance the two measures, and highly fail to group pixels with similar local texture properties. In this paper, we address these issues with a new Texture-Aware SuperPixel (TASP) method.

Additive Manufacturing of Continuous Fibre Reinforced Composites: Process, Characterisation, Modelling, and Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing provides precise control over the placement of continuous fibres within polymer matrices, enabling customised mechanical performance in composite components. This article explores processing strategies, mechanical testing, and modelling approaches for additive manufactured continuous fibre‐reinforced composites.

Unsupervised color texture segmentation based on multi-scale region-level Markov random field models [PDF]

open access: yesКомпьютерная оптика, 2019
In the field of color texture segmentation, region-level Markov random field model (RMRF) has become a focal problem because of its efficiency in modeling the large-range spatial constraints.

Color image segmentation using a spatial k-means clustering algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper details the implementation of a new adaptive technique for color-texture segmentation that is a generalization of the standard K-Means algorithm. The standard K-Means algorithm produces accurate segmentation results only when applied to images

Dynamic Textures Segmentation with GPU [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This work addresses the problem of motion segmentation in video sequences using dynamic textures. Motion can be globally modeled as a statistical visual process know as dynamic texture. Specifically, we use the mixtures of dynamic textures model which can simultaneously handle different visual processes.
