Self‐Assembled Inorganic Nanomembrane Tubes: Rolled‐Up Piezoelectrics for Microacoustic Wave‐Based Actuators and Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a self‐assembly process to generate free‐standing piezoelectric nanomembranes, forming ultracompact microtubular acoustic wave sensors and actuators. The miniaturized 3D piezoelectric platform reported in this work can be applied in telecommunication, energy harvesting, and acoustofluidics. Moreover, the 3D self‐assembly can add

Tailored Redox‐Active Catholytes Enabling High‐Rate and High‐Loading All‐Solid‐State Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores iodine substitution in solid electrolytes to overcome sluggish redox kinetics and poor charge transport in all‐solid‐state Li‐S batteries. The resulting iodine‐rich, amorphous phase and superionic, nanocrystalline domains enable effective redox mediation and provide a robust ionic percolation network.

Frictional Behavior and Fluid Flow Simulation Analysis of Textured ZrO2–Polyetheretherketone Artificial Knee Joints

open access: yesLubricants
ZrO2 ceramics, known for their high strength and wear resistance, are ideal for artificial joints. This study enhanced the friction performance of these joints by fabricating textured structures (50 μm width and 20–25 μm depth) on the ceramic surface ...

Texture in Aluminum Titanate Ceramic Materials

open access: yesTexture, Stress, and Microstructure, 1995
Dry pressing and filtration of a mixture of platelike corundum and rutile powders shows a slight to sharp texture of the corundum particles. The reaction sintering forming aluminum titanate destroys the texture of the green compact. When starting with a rutile texture in the green compact there exists a texture of tielite in the reaction product ...

Ultra‐Sensitive Nanofiber‐Based Triboelectric Nanogenerator for Energy Harvesting and Self‐Powered Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A multidimensional molecular strategy optimizes the tribonegative layer by electrospinning PVDF‐HFP for dipole alignment and crystallinity, followed by 2D borophene doping to enhance conductivity and charge trapping. Integrated with Nylon‐66 nanofibers, the composite device delivers a record sensitivity of 53.8 ± 1.2 V kPa−1 at 3 Hz, enabling ultra ...
