TRIM68 negatively regulates IFN-β production by degrading TRK fused gene, a novel driver of IFN-β downstream of anti-viral detection systems.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
In recent years members of the tripartite motif-containing (TRIM) family of E3 ubiquitin ligases have been shown to both positively and negatively regulate viral defence and as such are emerging as compelling targets for modulating the anti-viral immune ...

Poorly differentiated lung adenocarcinomas with concurrent ALK and CD30 expression: a diagnostic pitfall mimicking ALK‐positive anaplastic large‐cell lymphoma

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
Poorly differentiated lung adenocarcinomas with concurrent anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) and CD30 expression closely mimic ALK‐positive anaplastic large‐cell lymphoma, creating a significant diagnostic pitfall. Accurate classification requires comprehensive integration of clinical, radiologic, morphologic, immunophenotypic and molecular findings ...

Diagnostic Yield and Clinical Impact of Comprehensive WES/WGS Testing Beyond Common Genetic Causes in Hereditary Optic Atrophy

open access: yesClinical Genetics, Volume 110, Issue 3, Page 336-346, September 2026.
Opticus atrophy—Genetic testing with WES/WGS in 62 patients with optic atrophy provided a genetic diagnosis in 21 patients (33.9%). 42.9% of these involved non‐OPA1 genes, including WFS1, ACO2, NR2F1, UCHL1, CACNA1F, and COQ2, where the genetic diagnosis prompted additional clinical evaluation, surveillance, or therapeutic intervention.

Characterization of a novel TFG variant causing autosomal recessive pure hereditary spastic paraplegia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology
Objective TFG mutations have previously been implicated in autosomal recessive hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP), also known as SPG57. This study aimed to investigate the clinical and molecular features of TFG mutations in a Taiwanese HSP cohort ...

The Serotonin 2B (5‐HT2B) Receptor: A Narrative Review of Preclinical and Clinical Evidence on the Safety Considerations and Therapeutic Potential for the Treatment of Depression

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 120, Issue 2, Page 345-356, August 2026.
Major depressive disorder (MDD) and treatment‐resistant depression (TRD) remain leading causes of disability, providing the impetus for receptor‐level treatment strategies beyond monoamine reuptake. The serotonin 5‐HT2B receptor (5‐HT2BR) is uniquely positioned at the interface of central‐antidepressant mechanisms and peripheral cardiac risks.
