Comparison of continuum models using the kinetic theory of granular flow with discrete particle models and experiments: extent of particle mixing induced by bubbles [PDF]
The bubble formation and extent of particle mixing induced by a single bubble injected in a mono-disperse uidised bed at incipient \ud uidisation conditions has been studied with a Two-Fluid continuum Model (TFM) using the Kinetic Theory of Granular Flow

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with metals have been recognized as versatile platforms for photocatalytic CO2 reduction (CO2PRR). Herein, an overview of metal integration strategies for COFs is systematically summarized. Regulatory mechanisms and structure–activity relationships between metal integration and COF‐based CO2PRR are emphasized.

Dependence of nonlocal Gilbert damping on the ferromagnetic layer type in FM/Cu/Pt heterostructures
We have measured the size effect in nonlocal Gilbert relaxation rate in FM(t$_{FM}$) / Cu (5nm) [/ Pt (2nm)] / Al(2nm) heterostructures, FM = \{ Ni$_{81}$Fe$_{19}$, Co$_{60}$Fe$_{20}$B$_{20}$, pure Co\}.

This work introduces a swelling‐induced, stress‐assisted water‐soluble PVA tape strategy to transfer‐print nanodiamond quantum‐sensor arrays onto soft, curved biological interfaces. The room‐temperature, water‐triggered process achieves >98% fidelity and residue‐free integration, enabling conformal quantum sensing on contact lenses, neural probes, and ...

A liquid xenon ionization chamber in an all-fluoropolymer vessel [PDF]
A novel technique has been developed to build vessels for liquid xenon ionization detectors entirely out of ultra-clean fluoropolymer. We describe the advantages in terms of low radioactivity contamination, provide some details of the construction ...

The weakly‐solvating TFMSPyr electrolyte tailors the Li+ solvation structure by suppressing solvent coordination and promoting anion‐dominated solvation. This unique solvation environment induces preferential anion decomposition at electrode interfaces, forming robust inorganic rich S/CEI.

Measuring cellular traction forces on non-planar substrates
Animal cells use traction forces to sense the mechanics and geometry of their environment. Measuring these traction forces requires a workflow combining cell experiments, image processing and force reconstruction based on elasticity theory.

Newly Discovered RR Lyrae Stars in the SDSSXPanXSTARRS1XCatalina Footprint [PDF]
We present the detection of 6,371 RR Lyrae (RRL) stars distributed across ~14,000 deg^2 of the sky from the combined data of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS), the Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System 1 (PS1), and the second photometric

Challenges and enablers in fluidization technology
Abstract Gas–solid fluidized beds provide excellent heat and mass transfer for high‐throughput operations from coating to catalytic conversion and underpin emerging low‐carbon technologies. Yet industrial reliability, scale‐up, and control lag scientific understanding, particularly as finer, stickier, and more variable feedstocks increasingly challenge
