A fresh look at the so-called 'transparent free relatives'
This paper pursues two twin goals: [i] To refine proposals in Grosu (2016) concerning the characterization and analysis of nominal-argumental ‘transparent free relatives’ (‘TFRs’), and [ii] to strengthen Grosu’s (2016) argumentation against an ...

Tempo effects in period fertility indicators are widely regarded as a source of bias or distortion. But is this always the case? Whether tempo change results in bias depends, in the view advanced here, on the measure used, the meaning of bias/distortion, and the objective of analysis.

Age, dose, and binding to TfR on blood cells influence brain delivery of a TfR-transported antibody
Abstract Background Transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1) mediated brain delivery of antibodies could become important for increasing the efficacy of emerging immunotherapies in Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, age, dose, binding to TfR1 on blood cells, and pathology could influence the TfR1-mediated transcytosis of TfR1 ...

Transferrin receptor (TfR) trafficking determines brain uptake of TfR antibody affinity variants [PDF]
Antibodies to transferrin receptor (TfR) have potential use for therapeutic entry into the brain. We have shown that bispecific antibodies against TfR and β-secretase (BACE1 [β-amyloid cleaving enzyme-1]) traverse the blood–brain barrier (BBB) and effectively reduce brain amyloid β levels.
