Aetiopathogenesis of TGA

2017
This chapter considers the aetiopathogenesis of TGA, examining the evidence for and against the commonly considered possibilities, including cerebrovascular changes (arterial or venous), epilepsy, and migraine. At the time of writing, the aetiopathogenesis of TGA remains enigmatic, and the possibility that this is a heterogeneous disorder cannot be ...

Prognosis of TGA

2017
This chapter considers the prognosis of TGA. Generally this is benign, although some mild deficits of memory function may persist as well as a gap for the period of TGA. There is a finite recurrence rate, around 3–6% per year, and it may possibly be the case that recurrent TGA is not as benign as single-episode TGA.

Structural Effects on the Decomposition Kinetics of EPDM Elastomers by High-Resolution TGA and Modulated TGA

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2000
Effects of ethylene content and maleated EPDM content on the thermal stability and degradation kinetics of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) have been studied using high resolution thermogravimetric analysis (Hi-Res TGA) and Modulated TGA (MTGA).

Epidemiology of TGA

2017
This chapter examines the epidemiology of TGA. Few studies of incidence, seasonal time of onset, and geographical distribution have been undertaken. Nevertheless, various precipitating and predisposing factors for TGA have been identified, and these may give some clues to its aetiopathogenesis.

Differential Diagnosis of TGA

2017
This chapter considers the differential diagnosis of TGA. Key considerations include cerebrovascular disease (TIA, stroke), epilepsy (transient epileptic amnesia, TEA), and psychological causes, as well as a variety of other causes of transient amnesia (migraine, drugs, hypoglycaemia, head injury).

Temperature Measurements in TGA

2000
The temperature of the specimen in thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is affected by several factors, including specimen mass and heat capacity, transitions in the material, crucible mass and material of construction, and furnace response. Because many thermogravimetric analyzers have a thermal sensor that is separated from the specimen, differences in ...

Applications of TGA in quality control of SWCNTs

Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2009
Carbon nanotubes exhibit a range of chemistries, including mixtures of different nanotube diameters, lengths, and chiralities coupled with various concentrations of metallic and non-nanotube-carbon impurities. The performance of a given material for a specific application depends on the chemistry, which is dictated in large part by the manufacturing ...

Pyrolysis of waste materials using TGA-MS and TGA-FTIR as complementary characterisation techniques

Journal of Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis, 2012
Abstract Pyrolysis of waste materials, biomass wood waste, waste tyre, refuse derived fuel (RDF) and waste plastic was performed using two thermogravimetric analysers (TGA). One TGA was coupled to a mass spectrometer (MS) and the other to an infrared spectrometer (FTIR).

Interaction of TGA with CdSe nanoparticles

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2018
In this paper, the interaction of thioglycolic acid (TGA) with CdSe atomic cluster have been studied using first principle calculations and experimentally synthesized using chemical route method. Density Functional Theory (DFT) have been used for all the calculations.
