Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer with Shredded Fibers: Quasi‐Isotropic Material Properties and Antenna Performance

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
A carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminate, with the top layer consisting of shredded fibers, is proposed and manufactured. The shredded fibers are aligned randomly on the surface to achieve a more isotropic conductivity, as is desired in antenna applications. Moreover, fiber shreds can be recycled from carbon fiber composites.

Reaction of pyranose dehydrogenase from Agaricus meleagris with its carbohydrate substrates

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 282, Issue 21, Page 4218-4241, November 2015., 2015
Pyranose dehydrogenase (PDH) is a member of the glucose–methanol–choline family of oxidoreductases. To study the structure/function relationship of selected active‐site residues of PDH from Agaricus meleagris, active‐site variants were generated, and characterized by biochemical, biophysical, and computational means. Steady‐state kinetics revealed that
