Reducing the Effect of Lightning on Step and Touch Voltages in a Grounding Grid Using a Nature-Inspired Genetic Algorithm With ATP-EMTP

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper discusses the step and touch voltages, based on body resistance, in a grounding grid after a lightning strike at a 434-/21-kV substation. To ensure grounding grid safety, the maximum step and touch voltage should not exceed the safety criteria

Weil's converse theorem with poles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We prove a generalization of the classical converse theorem of Weil, allowing the twists by non-trivial Dirichlet characters to have arbitrary poles. We prove a generalization of the classical converse theorem of Weil, allowing the twists by non-trivial ...

A quantitative Chevalley-Weil theorem for curves [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The classical Chevalley-Weil theorem asserts that for an étale covering  of projective varieties over a number field $K$, the discriminant of the field of definition of the fiber over a $K$-rational point is uniformly bounded.

Impact of QSW‐ZVS on Input EMI Filter Design in DC‐DC Converters

open access: yesInternational Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, Volume 54, Issue 7, Page 3545-3554, July 2026.
This paper analyzes the impact of quasi‐square wave zero voltage switching (QSW‐ZVS) on passive EMI filter design for DC‐DC buck converters. The extra element theorem (EET) is used to derive the design quantities that ensure converter performance is not altered, and the resulting damping element values are compared with those of traditional converters.

Toward Self‐Sustained Soft Robotics: Triboelectric Nanogenerator–Dielectric Elastomer Actuator Hybrids

open access: yesEcoMat, Volume 8, Issue 4, April 2026.
Triboelectric nanogenerator–dielectric elastomer actuator hybrid systems establish a unified platform that directly couples mechanical energy harvesting with high‐voltage soft actuation, enabling self‐sustained operation without external power sources. This review provides a comprehensive overview of their working principles, hybrid configurations, and
