The analysis of the threshold value of the complex short-circuit ratio index and its significance in the context of static voltage stability

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research
The short-circuit ratio index (SCR) can effectively quantify the voltage support strength in traditional DC grid-connected scenarios, yet it cannot reasonably describe the voltage support strength in diverse device grid connection scenarios.

Robustness and Performance Analysis of a Current‐Controlled Quasi‐Stationary Electrical Model Virtual Synchronous Machine Using a Parameter‐Dependent Operating Point

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper analyzes the robustness of a current‐controlled quasi‐stationary electrical model virtual synchronous machine. Fundamental limitations of structured singular value‐based stability analysis are revealed for nonlinear converter‐dominated power systems when parametric uncertainties significantly affect the operating point.

Python‐Based Integration of Harmonic Domain Models of Grid‐Connected Switched Systems for Power Flow Analysis

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
A new Python‐based methodology that combines the advantages of two established techniques for analysing electrical power systems is presented. An innovative closed‐loop automation solution of IBRs modelled in HD and its integration into power flow analysis in PSS/E is presented.
