Calibration of the thd functions of electrical standards
2008 Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements Digest, 2008The paper describes a test procedure, the test waveforms, and the reference equipment used to calibrate the voltage and current total harmonic distortion (THD) measuring functions of multi-function electrical standards. It also shows that it is possible to establish traceability to the SI units for the THD measurements by measuring the voltage and ...

A prospective trial of the THD SphinKeeper® for faecal incontinence [PDF]
AbstractAimTHD SphinKeeper® is an emerging surgical technique for faecal incontinence (FI). The safety, indications and efficacy of the procedure are still being investigated. The aim of this study is to present the first experience of SphinKeeper® in Australia.MethodThis was a prospective single‐centre observational study of patients undergoing ...

The THD Characteristics of the Phase detector
IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 1986The paper presents an evaluation of the THD characteristics of the synmetrical and simple phase detectors, using exponential models of the detectors. By developing the output expressions into a series with Bessel-function coefficients, it is shown that, under certain conditions, the convergence is obtained.

Analysis of PFC and THD with the boost converter
2015 23nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2015In this paper, the boost converter topology which has advantages over other converter topologies is used to correct power factor and to reduce total harmonic distortion. Single Phase average current mode controlled PFC circuit is simulated by MATLAB/Simulink simulation tool and simulation results are verified.

The evolving role of THD in hemorrhoids
Seminars in Colon and Rectal Surgery, 2019Abstract THD® Doppler procedure is commonly utilized to manage hemorrhoidal disease. It has contributed to significant change in the therapeutic approach to this condition. Its purpose is to reduce the arterial overflow to the hemorrhoids by Doppler-guided dearterialization and reduction of hemorrhoidal prolapse by mucopexy.

An investigation of THD of a BTL Class D amplifier
2016 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2016Class D amplifiers are routinely employed as audio amplifiers due to their high power efficiency. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) is one of the most important parameters to qualify and quantify their performance. In this paper, THD of a commonly used Bridge-Tied-Load (BTL) Class D amplifier is investigated, including the derivation of the analytical ...

Intermolecular energy transfer between Tb(thd)3 and Eu(thd)3 complexes in solution
Journal of the Chemical Society, Faraday Transactions 2, 1977Intermolecular energy transfer between Tb(thd)3 and Eu(thd)3 chelates (thd = 2,2,6,6-tetra-methyl-3,5-heptanedione) in a variety of solvents at room temperature is studied by both emission life-time and steady-state emission intensity techniques. Thirteen different solvents were examined, ranging from strongly coordinating dimethylsulphoxide (dmso) and

A self-calibrating Virtual Instrument for THD Measurements
2006 IEEE Symposium on Virtual Environments, Human-Computer Interfaces and Measurement Systems, 2006In the present work the authors present the realization of a virtual instrument implementing a self-calibrating THD meter. The instrument is able to draw an electrical signal provided from a phase of the electrical distribution network, and to evaluate its total harmonic distortion (THD).

THD+Noise Estimation in Class-D Amplifiers
2007 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2007A mathematical analysis of the effect of jitter and nonlinear inductance on THD+noise of class-D amplifiers is presented. In the analysis, it is assumed that jitter is not correlated between edges and has Gaussian distribution. It is shown that the nonlinear inductor in the output filter causes THD+noise to be frequency dependent.

Abstract Y(thd)3(H2O) (I) has been prepared from yttrium nitrate via the aqueous method; its drying yielded Y(thd)3 (III). The sublimation of compound II, resulting from the reaction of yttrium isopropoxide with thdH, also yielded Y(thd)3. Compounds II and IlI have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H 13C{1H} and 89Y NMR spectroscopies ...
