Facility for thermal helium desorption (THDS) measurements
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1995Abstract We describe a thermal helium desorption spectrometer, built at the Department of Physics, University of Jyvaskyla, which will be used in investigations of crystal defects generated by keV range heavy ion bombardment. The helium desorption method and its requirements are reviewed briefly.

Charge transfer spectra in lanthanide-THD chelates
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1977Abstract The near UV spectra of rare earth-THD chelates of the type, RE(THD)3 where THD = ButCOCHCOBut and RE = La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu, have been measured and analyzed in terms of charge transfer. Observed spectra show a broad absorption maximum in the range of 33,000–36,000 cm−1 characteristic of all the chelates. Upon

Current THD Improvement of Valley-Fill Rectifier
Journal of the Korean Institute of Illuminating and Electrical Installation Engineers, 2008A method for improving current THD of Valley-fill rectifier is proposed in this paper. The proposed topology combines a boosting inductor with Valley-fill rectifier which carry out AC/DC conversion and PFC simultaneously The boosting effect by PWM switching makes low THD current and improve of Valley-fill rectifier. The operation modes and THD of input

Toward a Theory of Hierarchical Definability (THD)
2002Attempts to formulate mathematically precise definitions of basic concepts such as causality, randomness and probability have a long history. The concept of hierarchical definability that is outlined in the following suggests that such definitions may not exist. Furthermore, it suggests that existing definitions of many basic concepts, among them those
