The evolving role of THD in hemorrhoids
Seminars in Colon and Rectal Surgery, 2019Abstract THD® Doppler procedure is commonly utilized to manage hemorrhoidal disease. It has contributed to significant change in the therapeutic approach to this condition. Its purpose is to reduce the arterial overflow to the hemorrhoids by Doppler-guided dearterialization and reduction of hemorrhoidal prolapse by mucopexy.

Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialization (THD)
2015Hemorrhoids remain a highly prevalent anal disorder, affecting both genders over a wide age spectrum. Around half of these patients will experience symptoms to various degrees, most commonly presenting with per rectal bleeding, prolapse, or anal pain. Hemorrhoids originating above the dentate line are known as internal and those below the dentate line ...

An Approximate THD Theory for Journal Bearings
Journal of Tribology, 1990The aim of this paper is to make available to the industrial designer results of the thermohydrodynamic theory of journal bearings, by providing a simplified, yet accurate model of journal bearing lubrication that can be implemented on a personal computer and be used in an interactive mode.

THD analysis of matrix converter fed load
2009 International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems (PEDS), 2009Invention of direct transfer of Power conversion is convenient method to eliminate DC link filter. Most of the Speed control method of AC drive has DC link filter which play an important role in rectifier fed inverter system. In this paper we presented detailed review of latest control method and different control strategy of direct AC to AC conversion

Defect studies on nonstoichiometric TiN by THDS
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1991We have performed defect studies on Ti1N1.07 by means of thermal helium desorption spectrometry (THDS), a technique which uses helium as an inert atomic probe. First, the defects in the solid are decorated with helium by ion implantation. The helium is subsequently released as the sample is heated.

Abstract The reaction of barium metal with Hthd in dry pentane results in the tetranuclear complex Ba4(thd)8 (I), which can be sublimed in vacuo. Using Hthd, containing a small amount of pivalic acid, the pentanuclear chelate Ba5(thd)9(piv) (II) was isolated.

Reducing THD in an audio test instrument
2012 IEEE International Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference Proceedings, 2012A patented instrument has been developed for measuring SNR, SINAD, and THD for DACs and ADCs. For DACs, a synthesized source bucks the sine-wave source being measured. For ADCs, the sine-wave source is the input to the ADC under test. The quality of the THD measurement is limited by the harmonics generated by the source (less than −120dB).

Facility for thermal helium desorption (THDS) measurements
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1995Abstract We describe a thermal helium desorption spectrometer, built at the Department of Physics, University of Jyvaskyla, which will be used in investigations of crystal defects generated by keV range heavy ion bombardment. The helium desorption method and its requirements are reviewed briefly.

Charge transfer spectra in lanthanide-THD chelates
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1977Abstract The near UV spectra of rare earth-THD chelates of the type, RE(THD)3 where THD = ButCOCHCOBut and RE = La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu, have been measured and analyzed in terms of charge transfer. Observed spectra show a broad absorption maximum in the range of 33,000–36,000 cm−1 characteristic of all the chelates. Upon
