Estimating Total Post‐Release Mortality in a Boat‐Based Recreational Fishery
ABSTRACT Catch‐and‐release angling is widespread in marine recreational fisheries resulting from the implementation of enforced minimum legal sizes and increasing uptake of voluntary release. This makes recreational fisheries selective, with high release rates in certain cases.

ABSTRACT Knowing the relationship between catch per unit effort (CPUE) and population density is crucial for the management of recreational fisheries. We conducted standardized angling for pike in 16 lakes (3.4–22.1 ha) to test whether lure type, color, and pike density affect CPUE and the size of captured fish.

ABSTRACT Marine fish commonly move across distinct habitats throughout their lifetimes, particularly during larval stages, when they are particularly difficult to track. Such transitions are necessary as environmental demands and predation pressures change dramatically with increases in body size.

Detailed knowledge about bird migration patterns can enhance our understanding of the evolution of migration and temporal changes in space use throughout the annual cycle. Additionally, as many migratory bird species are experiencing population declines, understanding the connectivity between their spatial distributions during breeding, migration and ...

Low breeding propensity in a declining Arctic‐breeding swan revealed by telemetry data
Many migratory bird populations are declining in the face of habitat degradation and climate change, making it important to identify which stages of their annual cycle are most affected in order to guide conservation measures. The Bewick's Swan Cygnus columbianus bewickii, an Arctic‐breeding waterfowl species, has suffered a dramatic population decline
