Multiple Reassortments, Limited Geographic Spread, and Comparable Pathogenicity of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Viruses in Sivas Province, Türkiye. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Med Virol
ABSTRACT Crimean‐Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) is a segmented RNA virus that can cause severe hemorrhagic fever and is primarily transmitted to humans and other mammals through tick bites. Since segment reassortment can increase genetic diversity and disease severity, we sampled infected ticks and humans in Sivas Province, Türkiye, a region ...

Conservation Hotspots of Quercus castaneifolia Revealed Through the Integration of Genetic Diversity and Landscape Connectivity. [PDF]

open access: yesEcol Evol
This study integrates the genetic characterization of chestnut‐leaved oak across its distribution range in the Hyrcanian forests with landscape connectivity modeling to identify regions of high evolutionary and ecological importance. Two main core areas, located in the western and eastern parts of the Hyrcanian forests, were identified and connected by

Rise of the south: How Arab‐led maritime trade transformed China, 671–1371 CE

open access: yesAsia‐Pacific Economic History Review, Volume 65, Issue 1, Page 3-38, March 2025.

Predicting habitat suitability of selected Meloidae species and future potential refugia: A case study from inner Western Anatolia

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Consensus habitat‐suitability maps identify current hotspots of species richness across the Inner Western Anatolian mountain systems. Late‐century projections (2081–2100) under SSP2‐4.5 and SSP5‐8.5 show range shifts and changing richness patterns, intensifying at higher elevations.

Rift Development, Tectonic Forcings, and Magmatic Feedbacks at Santorini and Kolumbo Volcanoes Constrained by Scientific Drilling and Core‐Seismic Integration

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Volcanism in continental rifts, rifted volcanic arcs, and back‐arc basins is fundamentally coupled with crustal extension. However, the precise geometry and timing of the fault systems that facilitate magma transport and accommodate extension remain poorly constrained.
