Choosing the mode of transport: Case study of Bratislava region

We analyse commuting patterns in Bratislava's fast growing sub-urban region with suboptimal developed infrastructure. Standardized discrete choice model is used to estimate demand for individual car transport as well as for public buses and trains and to obtain corresponding elasticities with respect to travel costs, times and income.

Contribution to the determination of limiting values of sulphur dioxide for vegetation in the region of Bratislava

Abstract The relationship between the concentration of industrial pollutants in the air in the vicinity of Bratislava and the degree of injury to local vegetation was studied. Such vegetation is negatively influenced by a conglomerate of substances of which sulphur dioxide is the most easily recognised pollutant.
