Generalizing the Gaussian Network Model: Spanning‐Tree Thermodynamics Shows Entropy‐Driven KRAS Activation

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The GTPase KRAS executes a conformational switch between a GTP‐bound active state and a GDP‐bound inactive state, a process central to oncogenic signaling. However, the structural basis of this switching at the level of residue‐contact organization remains incompletely characterized by traditional binary structural models.

Cordycepin Alleviates Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Progression by Stabilizing GCH1 to Inhibit Ferroptosis

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
COR stabilizes GCH1 and inhibits ferroptosis. ABSTRACT To investigate the effects and targets of cordycepin (COR) in alleviating non‐alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). High‐fat diet was used to induce NAFLD in mice, and after COR gavage administration, changes in liver function, glucose and lipid metabolism, and ferroptosis‐related signaling were ...

Propagation of internal gravity waves: Optimal vertical discretisation and grid design based on numerical error analysis

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
An energy‐conserving discrete framework for the vertical discretisation of stratified ocean models is developed using internal gravity‐wave theory. A β$$ \beta $$‐indexed family of schemes is analysed through perturbation theory, revealing optimal parameter choices and grid designs that reduce truncation errors significantly.

Statistical Monitoring of Multivariate Count Data From Real‐Time Particle Counters

open access: yesQuality and Reliability Engineering International, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the pharmaceutical industry, production environments are monitored for bacterial contamination. Particle counters are increasingly investigated for real‐time monitoring of viable microorganisms using count data for different particle size intervals.
