Geometrical Error Identification and Compensation for Grinding Machine by Crankshaft Roundness Measuring

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2015
Tangential point tracing grinding method has many advantages in the precise machining for eccentric parts such as crankshaft pin grinding. But its machining accuracy is based on a very precise geometrical model, which means the geometrical error of the ...

Perfect quantum error correction coding in 24 laser pulses [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
An efficient coding circuit is given for the perfect quantum error correction of a single qubit against arbitrary 1-qubit errors within a 5 qubit code.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Measuring and modeling the dynamics of mitotic error correction

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences
SummaryError correction is central to many biological systems and is critical for protein function and cell health. During mitosis, error correction is required for the faithful inheritance of genetic material. When functioning properly, the mitotic spindle segregates an equal number of chromosomes to daughter cells with high fidelity.

Macroeconomic forecasts under the prism of error-correction models [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Economics and Business, 1998
Abstract When the error correction term exhibits persistence, its change may convey useful information about short-run economic dynamics which, if not taken sufficiently into account by a forecasting model, may be associated with predictable forecast errors. Such errors are documented in the DRI forecasts for the U.S.

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.

The Dynamic Phillips Curve Revisited: An Error Correction Model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advances in Management and Economics, 2012
In this paper, we apply different unit root tests on five macroeconomic variables. Nearly all our data exhibit unit root phenomenon, confirming results well-known in the literature. Co-integration tests indicate that there exists one set of co-integration relation in the unemployment- inflation equation.

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).
