Musica ex machina:a history of video game music [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The history of video game music is a subject area that has received little attention by musicologists, and yet the form presents fascinating case studies both of musical minimalism, and the role of technology in influencing and shaping both musical form ...

Post-ISCO Ringdown Amplitudes in Extreme Mass Ratio Inspiral

open access: yes, 2011
An extreme mass ratio inspiral consists of two parts: adiabatic inspiral and plunge. The plunge trajectory from the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) is special (somewhat independent of initial conditions). We write an expression for its solution in

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Quantum Painlev\'e II solution and Approximated analytic solution of the Yukawa Potential

open access: yes, 2014
We show that one dimensional non-stationary Schr\"odi-nger equation with a specific choice of potential reduces to the quantum Painlev\'e II equation and the solution of its Riccati form appears as a dominant term of that potential. Further, we show that

KEBERADAAN PANTUN BALI MASA KINI (SEBUAH KONTEKSTUALISASI SENI BERBAHASA) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In terms of form of expression, traditional Balinese literature could be classified into two types: oral literature (kesusastraan gentian) and written literature (kesusastraan sesuratan).

Gravitational energy from a combination of a tetrad expression and Einstein's pseudotensor

open access: yes, 2008
The energy-momentum for a gravitating system can be considered by the tetard teleparalle gauge current in orthonormal frames. Whereas the Einstein pseudotensor used holonomic frames. Tetrad expression itself gives a better result for gravitational energy

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

The effect of the acetyl-amide form of the synthetic peptide HLDF-6 on the CDH2 and CD24 expression in breast cancer

open access: yesСибирский научный медицинский журнал
The development and research of drugs capable of reducing the malignancy of tumors is one of the most promising areas in the differentiation therapy of breast cancer (BC).
