Comment on: “The modified extended tanh-function method for solving Burgers-type equations” [Physica A 361 (2006) 394–404]

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2021
Abstract In this letter, we analyze the paper by Soliman (2006). Using the modified extended tanh-function (METF) method, Soliman have found exact “solutions” of the Burgers type equations including one-dimensional Burgers and coupled Burgers equations. In this comment, we show that none of these solutions satisfy the corresponding Burgers equations.

(G′/G)-expansion method equivalent to the extended tanh-function method

Physica Scripta, 2010
Very recently, Wang et al (2008 Phys. Lett. A 327 417–23) proposed a method, namely the (G′/G)-expansion method, for constructing multiple travelling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations arising in mathematical physics. They believe that the (G′/G)-expansion method is a new method and more travelling wave solutions of many nonlinear ...

The Extended Tanh Function Method for the Kink Patterns Solutions of the Kundu Equation

2010 International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering, 2010
In this paper, by introducing some appropriate transformation, we study explicit exact ravelling wave solutions for the Kundu equation by using the extended tanh function method. Thus, some new exact travelling wave solutions, which contain kink patterns solutions, solitary solutions and periodic solutions are obtained.
