Dietary Protein Intake and Peritoneal Protein Losses in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients lose protein in their waste dialysate, potentially increasing their risk for malnutrition. We wished to determine whether there was any association between losses and dietary protein intake (DPI). Methods DPI was assessed from 24‐h dietary recall using Nutrics software.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Factors for slowing inflation in economy [PDF]

open access: yesОмский научный вестник: Серия "Общество. История. Современность", 2018
The article continues the multi-factor analysis of inflation processes, which was started in the article «evolution of inflation factors in the conditions of economic sanctions».

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Inflation Differentials in EU New Member States: An Empirical Evidence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper, we examine the determinants of inflation differentials in a panel of the newEuropean Union member states vis-‡-vis the euro area in 1997-2007. Our main results are as follows. Exchange rate appreciation and higher price level in the new EU

Real‐World Performance of CSF Kappa Free Light Chains in the 2024 McDonald Criteria

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Kappa free light chains (KFLCs) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) have a similar performance to CSF‐restricted oligoclonal bands (OCB) for multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis. To help with implementation, we set out to resolve several remaining uncertainties: (1) performance in a real‐world cohort and the 2024 McDonald criteria; (2 ...

Development of a Prediction Model for Progression Risk in High‐Grade Gliomas Based on Habitat Radiomics and Pathomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the value of constructing models based on habitat radiomics and pathomics for predicting the risk of progression in high‐grade gliomas. Methods This study conducted a retrospective analysis of preoperative magnetic resonance (MR) images and pathological sections from 72 patients diagnosed with high‐grade gliomas (52 ...

ARIMA Time Series Modeling with the Addition of Intervention and Outlier Factors on Inflation Rate in Indonesia

open access: yesJTAM (Jurnal Teori dan Aplikasi Matematika)
Extreme events in a time series model can be detected when the precise timing of the event, known as the intervention, is known. When the exact timing of an event is unknown, it is referred to as an outlier.  If these factors are neglected, the model's accuracy will be affected.

Location‐Specific Hematoma Volume Predicts Early Neurological Deterioration in Supratentorial ICH

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Early neurological deterioration (END) adversely affects outcomes in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). This study aimed to determine the location‐specific hematoma volumes for END in supratentorial ICH patients. Methods We retrospectively analyzed supratentorial ICH patients presenting from two prospective cohorts.
