Risk of Non‐Arteritic Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy in Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension Patients Treated with GLP‐1 Receptor Agonists

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1 RAs) have demonstrated significant weight‐reducing effects and may offer benefits in idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH); however, recent concerns about the risk of non‐arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) have emerged.

The impact of a random metric upon a diffusing particle

open access: yesScientific Reports
We show that if the singularity of the covariance of the random metric is $$\vert \textbf{x}\vert ^{-2\gamma }$$ | x | - 2 γ then the mean value of the fourth power of the distance achieved in time t by a diffusing particle behaves as $$t^{2(1-\gamma )}$$

Peripheral Neutrophil Activation and Extracellular Trap Formation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
Markers of neutrophil activation are increased in plasma during ALS, and markers of NET formation associate with ALS survival. ABSTRACT Objectives Peripheral neutrophil levels in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) inversely correlate with survival, suggesting a role for neutrophils in disease progression.

Clutter attenuation‐stable normalised least‐mean fourth for PBR

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2016
The stable normalised least‐mean fourth (SNLMF) algorithm is developed in the passive bistatic radar (PBR) system to realise the interference cancellation. The larger power of the reference signal may lead to the poor convergence rate.

Signal-to-noise, spatial resolution and information capacity of coherent diffraction imaging

open access: yesIUCrJ, 2018
It is shown that the average signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in the three-dimensional electron-density distribution of a sample reconstructed by coherent diffractive imaging cannot exceed twice the square root of the ratio of the mean total number of ...

Sex‐Stratified Association of Regional Dopamine Transporter Binding With Disease Progression in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To clarify the clinical relevance of dopamine transporter single‐photon emission computed tomography (DAT‐SPECT) abnormalities in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), with a prespecified focus on sex‐stratified associations with disease progression and short‐term prognosis.

Electroencephalographic Normalization as a Biomarker of Clinical Recovery in Down Syndrome Regression Disorder

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Down syndrome regression disorder is a syndrome characterized by subacute loss of cognitive, behavioral, and functional abilities in individuals with Down syndrome. Electroencephalography abnormalities are frequently observed during evaluation, but it remains unclear whether these findings represent a dynamic marker of disease ...

Thalamo‐Lesional Connectivity Signatures of Bilateral Tonic–Clonic Seizures in Focal Cortical Dysplasia‐Related Epilepsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) is the most common etiology of drug‐resistant epilepsy in children. Focal to bilateral tonic–clonic seizures (FBTCS) mark a high risk of drug‐resistant epilepsy and involve thalamocortical circuitry in their generation and propagation.
