Drug Repurposing for Treating NCOR‐Related Intellectual Disability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An autism‐associated NCOR1 heterozygous mutation upregulates NRGs and activates NRG backward signaling in hypothalamic GABAergic neurons in mouse models, leading to Gabra2 downregulation and cognitive deficits, which can be therapeutically targeted by repurposing FDA‐approved drugs.

Phosphine Coordination to Ce, Nd, Np, and Pu in ArBiAMPtBu‐Supported Complexes and Their 2H and 13C Isotopologues

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dianionic ligand designed to encourage metal‐phosphine coordination—bis((3,5‐dimethylphenyl)amidomethyl)tertbutylphosphine (ArBiAMPtBu)—was employed in the synthesis of paramagnetic complexes of Ce, Nd, Np, and Pu, producing MI(ArBiAMPtBu)(thf)3.

An Engineered Supramolecular Pathway for Enhanced Electrochemiluminescence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A supramolecular electrochemiluminescent (ECL) system is presented in which cucurbit[7]uril (CB7) is covalently linked to [Ru(bpy)3]2+, forming a recognition‐responsive emitter. Host‒guest preorganization of tri‐n‐propylamine enables intramolecular ECL, boosting intensity by 162% compared to the standard system.

Magyar ‘raids’ and Frankish invasions: A new perspective

open access: yesNuova Antologia Militare
This article aims to refute the centuries-old claim that the Magyar incursions into Western Europe and the Balkans in the tenth century were merely for plunder, a view based on outdated ideas of poor nomads whose societies were held together by chiefs ...

LigHTS: Biomimetic Hydrogel Photo‐Fabrication for Imaging‐Based Ultra‐High‐Throughput Screening

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LigHTS removes a key bottleneck for ultra‐high‐throughput screening (UHTS) by enabling biomimetic hydrogel microenvironments to be manufactured directly in standard multiwell plates. A single, collimated UV exposure with formulation‐tuned light penetration patterns an entire plate with UHTS‐grade uniformity (<20% CV), producing structured GelMA films ...

Praseodymium‐Modulated NiFe Layered Double Hydroxide with Enhanced Oxygen Evolution Activity and Extended Durability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pr doping of NiFe‐LDH simultaneously tunes Ni 3d electronics and mesopore architecture. The optimized Ni2Fe0.88Pr0.12‐LDH switches the OER rate‐determining step, delivers 407 mV at 500 mA cm−2, and sustains 2190 h in half‐cell tests. An AEM electrolyzer with this anode operates over 1000 h at industrial current density, offering a durable rare‐earth ...

Intrinsic Mechanical Parameters and their Characterization in Solid‐State Lithium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
This review focuses on the intrinsic mechanical parameters and their associated characterization in solid‐state batteries. The physical significance of mechanics parameters is introduced with exhaustive classifications by elastic, plastic deformations and fracture in bulk, adhesion, friction at interfaces, and mechanical fatigue in cells ...

Hemp Cultivation and Crop Diversification: Implications for Ecosystem Services in Kentucky

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines the ecosystem benefits of expanding hemp cultivation by assessing its impact on crop diversity. Using scenario‐based simulations and fixed‐effect panel regressions with county‐level data in Kentucky, we find that increased hemp acreage tends to enhance crop diversity, improving water quality and bird diversity.

Extension Economists: Valued in Mission, Penalized in Practice

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As the public engagement arm of the land‐grant mission, we argue that Extension faculty in US agricultural economics departments face an identity crossroads as they struggle for institutional support. Specifically, we argue that Extension economists function as boundary‐spanning professionals within academic structures that often devalue ...
