Carbon‐substrate selection fundamentally governs the performance of Sn electrocatalysts in PEM‐based CO2 electroreduction to formic acid. Tin electrodeposited on thin carbon paper (Sn/TCP) outperforms straight carbon paper (Sn/SCP), achieving higher Faradaic efficiency and superior stability.
