Field study of scour around Bridge piers in the transitional section of the Qiantang River
With the rapid development of bridge construction, the safety of bridges under complex hydrological conditions has become an increasingly critical issue. This study investigates the local scour characteristics of bridge piers in the transition section of

Turbulence, Sediment‐Induced Stratification, and Mixing Under Macrotidal Estuarine Conditions (Qiantang Estuary, China) [PDF]
AbstractTime series of in situ measured velocity and suspended sediment concentration from Qiantang Estuary (China), and estimates of turbulence and sediment stratification parameters are presented. The data span a period of 9 days, and after phase averaged, they are used to explore spring‐neap tidal variations in flow, turbulence, and sediment ...

Numerical simulation of tidal flow field in the Qiantang Estuary bends(钱塘江河口弯道潮流场的数值模拟)

Evolution of tidal flats influenced by tidal bores and runoff in the Qiantang Estuary, China
Tidal flats provide crucial ecosystem services and coastal protection. Comprehending the evolution of tidal flats, influenced by tidal bores and runoff, is key to protecting these environments in the Qiantang Estuary′s tidal bore zones.

Salinity prediction in Qiantang Estuary based on Improved LSTM model
Abstract Investigating saltwater intrusion is vital for optimal use of estuarine water resources. Presently, diverse data-driven models, mainly neural network models, have been employed to predict tidal estuarine salinity. However, the high nonlinearity, randomness, and instability of salinity sequences pose challenges for accurate estuarine ...

Morphodynamics of Sandbar in a Macro-tidal Estuary: A Model Approach
This paper studied the development and the underlying physical mechanisms of the large sandbar in Qiantang estuary, China, using an idealized morphodynamic model. The model coupled shallow water equations, cohesive sediment transport and bed level update
