Incidence of diabetes mellitus complications as indicated by the register

The incidence of diabetes mellitus complications was assessed on the basis of diabetes mellitus register in 1478 diabetics living in the Lenin district of Moscow. The incidence of microangiopathies was reliably higher in patients with insulin-dependent condition (IDDM) than in those with the non-insulin dependent (NIDDM) one.
