Theory of emanation thermal analysis XII.

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2005
The background for the modelling of radon diffusion release from disordered solids is given and used for the simulation of emanation thermal analysis results characterizing the annealing of structural irregularities that serve as radon diffusion paths in the solids.

Recoil-emanation theory applied to radon release from mineral grains

Geochimica Et Cosmochimica Acta, 1990
Abstract In this paper the α-recoil emanation theory is presented as a major mechanism for Rn release from solid materials. The basic theory is developed for Rn emanation from geometrical shapes: spheres and cylinders having variable thickness of precursor-Ra containing material.

Recent developments in the theory of emanation thermal analysis

Thermochimica Acta, 1987
Abstract A report of recent developments in the theory of the emanation thermal analysis of porous and dispersed solids is given. A mathematical model of the inert gas release during non-isothermal heating of solids is suggested, describing the behaviour of porous and dispersed solids on heating, taking into account the annealing of structure defects,

The theory of ‘emanation’ in Gikatilla’s ‘ Gates of Justice

Journal of Jewish Studies, 2011
In the present article, I analyse the word field of ‘emanation’ in the treatise Gates of Justice , written by the kabbalist Joseph ben Abraham Gikatilla (1248– c. 1325).

Editor's Comments: Internationalizing Theory—How “Fusion Theory” Emanates from Down Under

Academy of Management Review, 2013
The editorial comments on the development of management and organization theory from the perspective that this periodical is biased toward the U.S. The article argues the international growth of the Academy of Management's meeting program is affecting this periodical's content and the selection of its editorial board.

Theory of Emanation Thermal Analysis: XI. Radon diffusion as the probe of microstructure changes in solids

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2002
The theoretical background for the use of radon diffusion as a probe of microstructure changes in solids is given. The high sensitivity of the emanation thermal analysis (ETA) in the study of solid state processes especially interactions taking place on surfaces and in the near surface layers is described.

Theory of Emanation Thermal Analysis: X. Characterization of morphology changes during hydration of cementitious binders

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2002
Computer modelling of time dependences of radon release rate during hydration of 3CaO·SiO2 was carried out. It was demonstrated that the emanation thermal analysis (ETA) can be used for the characterisation of morphology changes during hydration of Portland cement clinker minerals.

Comments to the Paper: Briand, Eman, Morasca: On the Application of Measurement Theory in Software Engineering

Empirical Software Engineering, 1997
The paper of Briand et al. criticizes the approach of using measurement theory in software engineering. A careful analysis of the statements of Briand et al. showed , that Briand et al. focus mainly on scale types. However, scales types are only one aspect of measurement theory, another important aspect of measurement theory are the empirical and ...
