Unified Zonal Method Based on the Fortified Solution Algorithm

Journal of Computational Physics, 1995
A unified zonal method based on the fortified solution algorithm (FSA zonal approach) is proposed. A simulation of the flow field induced by a train moving into a tunnel is considered to illustrate the method.

URG: A Unified Ranking and Generation Method for Ensembling Language Models

Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics
Prior research endeavors of the ensemble Large Language Models (LLMs) achieved great success by employing an individual language model (LM) rank before the text generation. However, the use of an individual LM ranker faces two primary challenges: (1) The

The Unified PWM Implementation Method for Three-Phase Inverters

2007 IEEE International Electric Machines & Drives Conference, 2007
The three-phase inverter with the conventional space-vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) algorithm has fast dynamic response, but the complex coordinate transformations, trigonometric function calculations, and sector number identification should be performed.

The DG/VMS Method for Unified Turbulence Simulation

32nd AIAA Fluid Dynamics Conference and Exhibit, 2002
The high cost of wind tunnel testing and the ongoing reduction in national wind tunnel facilities are forcing the aerospace engineering community to increasingly rely on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to predict the performance of new aircraft designs. However, most aerospace applications are characterized by flows that exhibit large-scale unsteady

A unified method for the design of telecommunication services

Ergonomics, 1994
This paper describes a method for the design of telecommunication services. The method is aimed specifically at Integrated Broadband Communications (IBC) services, and describes two perspectives to the design of applications: the external perspective and the internal perspective.

JanusFlow: Harmonizing Autoregression and Rectified Flow for Unified Multimodal Understanding and Generation

Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition
We present JanusFlow, a powerful framework that unifies image understanding and generation in a single model. JanusFlow introduces a minimalist architecture that integrates autoregressive language models with rectified flow, a state-of-the-art method in ...

Unified Uncertainty Analysis by the First Order Reliability Method

Journal of Mechanical Design, 2008
Two types of uncertainty exist in engineering. Aleatory uncertainty comes from inherent variations while epistemic uncertainty derives from ignorance or incomplete information. The former is usually modeled by the probability theory and has been widely researched.

Talk Therapies: The Need for a Unified Method

2008
Abstract Research shows that psychotherapy is a form of treatment that patients need but do not always receive. Research also shows that no single method of psychotherapy has a monopoly on effectiveness (see Chapter 2), suggesting that the method should not be labeled according to different ‘‘schools of thought’’ but instead should be ...
