Volatility and the role of order book structure [PDF]

open access: yes
There is much literature that deals with modeling and forecasting asset return volatility. However, much of this research does not attempt to explain variations in the level of volatility.

Tuning Li+ and Na+ Functionality in Renewable Carbon Electroactive Material Through Site‐Specific Nanostructural Disorder

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a selective thermal transformation of polycarbonate into hybrid carbon materials. The structured carbon enhances electrochemical performance, particularly in lithium‐ion systems. Investigations reveal improved bimetallic ion diffusivity through the hybrid microstructure, contributing to excellent charge kinetics.

Jumps in the Volatility of Financial Markets

open access: yes, 1999

Electrochemical Nitrate Reduction Reaction to Ammonia at Industrial‐Level Current Densities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review starts from the mechanism and theoretical basis of electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction (NO3−RR), and systematically summarizes and discusses the design strategies of industrial‐level current density catalysts. In addition, the progress of industrial‐level NO3−RR‐based electrolyzers, including flow reactor and membrane electrode ...

Firm Level Volatility-Return Analysis using Dynamic Panels [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper examines "leverage" and volatility feedback effects at the firm level by considering both market effects and firm level effects, using 242 individual firm stock data in the US market.

Scalable Upcycling of Spent Lithium‐Ion Battery Anodic Graphite to Electronic‐Grade Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Graphite anodes from spent lithium‐ion batteries are upcycled into electronic‐grade graphene nanoplatelets for highly conductive screen printing inks (> 104 S m−1). Screen‐printed micro‐supercapacitors confirm the utility of the upcycled graphene (1.78 mF/cm2 capacitance for > 10 000 cycles). Life cycle assessment and techno‐economic analysis highlight

On the Correlation Structure of Microstructure Noise in Theory and Practice [PDF]

open access: yes
We argue for incorporating the financial economics of market microstructure into the financial econometrics of asset return volatility estimation. In particular, we use market microstructure theory to derive the cross-correlation function between latent ...

AP‐Lab: An AI‐Driven Autonomous Pilot‐Scale Platform Bridging Materials Discovery and Industrial Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AP‐Lab bridges materials discovery and industrial manufacturing by coupling proprietary datasets with an application benchmark (PCR Ct). A closed‐loop optimization workflow integrates ML, LLM, and autonomous synthesis/testing to refine magnetic nanoparticles–based nucleic‐acid extraction systems.

Eficiencia del mercado accionario chileno: un enfoque dinámico usando tests de volatilidad [PDF]

open access: yesLecturas de Economía, 2009
This article studies the Chilean Stock Market's efficiency. To corroborate efficiency, we use a partial equilibrium model for financial asset pricing.

Modeling and Verification of 1/f Noise Mechanisms in FAPbBr3 Single‐Crystal X‐Ray Detectors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstratethat surface‐trap‐induced carrier number fluctuations are the dominantmechanism in FAPbBr3 Schottky devices, a conclusion supported by thedistinct defect profiles revealed by Drive‐Level Capacitance Profiling (DLCP). Throughnoise contribution decomposition, it is found that the 1/f noise of thedetector is the key noise source affecting ...
