Advanced Flame Retardant Strategies and Fire Performance Assessment for Safer Photovoltaics in Buildings: A Two‐Part Review

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The integration of photovoltaic (PV) systems into building structures introduces distinct fire risks with critical implications for occupant safety. This review examines the key fire hazards associated with PV implementation and explores mitigation strategies, including flame‐retardant additives.

Price relationships and market linkages of by-product critical metals across multiple time scales: A case study of copper and cobalt [PDF]

open access: yesZiyuan Kexue
[Objective] Compared to conventional bulk metal markets, by-product critical metal markets are still in a rapid growth phase, where market fluctuations frequently occur due to periodic supply-demand mismatches.

The Use of Volatility Measures in Assessing Market Efficiency* [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Finance, 1981
RECENTLY a number of studies have used measures of the variance or "volatility" of speculative asset prices to provide evidence against simple models of market efficiency. These measures were interpreted as implying that prices show too much variation to be explained in terms of the random arrival of new information about the fundamental determinants ...

Continuous‐Flow Photocatalytic Degradation of Glyphosate and Aminomethylphosphonic Acid Under Simulated Sunlight with TiO2‐Coated Poly(vinylidene fluoride) Membrane

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Glyphosate (GLY) and its primary metabolite, aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA), are photodegraded using a poly(vinylidene fluoride) membrane with immobilized titanium dioxide (PVDF‐TiO2) in a continuous flow‐through operation under solar light. At optimized conditions, the PVDF‐TiO2 membrane achieved 95% GLY and 80% AMPA removal with •O2− as the ...

The Volatility Dynamics of the Global REITs Market

open access: yesJournal of Derivatives and Quantitative Studies, 2019
This paper tries to estimate the dynamic linear latent factor model (DLLFM) with jump in order to find jump risk, heteroscedasticity and time varying correlations in Global REITs Markets. Using five major Global Reits rates such as the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia and Hong Kong form January 4, 2000 to June 29, 2018, this study ...

Electrochemical Formation of BiVO4/BiPO4 Photoanodes for Enhanced Selectivity toward H2O2 Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In acidic KPi, V dissolves from the BiVO4 lattice, while adsorbed phosphate reacts with the electrode under an external bias, forming a BiPO4 surface layer. This BiPO4 layer exhibits stronger bicarbonate adsorption, redirecting the water oxidation pathway toward two‐electron H2O2 production.
