Early Maastrichtian cheilostome bryozoans from the middle Volga River region
PalZ, 2020Eight species in six genera of cheilostome bryozoans are described from an early Maastrichtian outcrop located in the Saratov Region, middle Volga River region, southern Russia. The studied bryozoan assemblage includes a new species, Cheethamia volgaensis sp.

The taxonomic position of the microproblematics previously considered to be Foraminifera or Calcisphaerulidae is established. The first record from Russia of calcareous cysts of Dinoflagellata is presented. The microfossils originate from the Maastrichtian siliceous clay of the Volga River Region.

2017In this investigation the 87Sr/86Sr values were considered for the Upper Kazanian regional section Pechishchi and accompanied sections of the Lower Kazanian substage and also the Lower Permian formation. The section Pechishchi is known as reference section formed within the Kazanian palaeosea.

Biologia, 2015The parasitic fauna in the lower Volga River basin was investigated for four gobiid species: the nonindigenous monkey goby Neogobius fluviatilis (Pallas, 1814), the round goby N. melanostomus (Pallas, 1814), the Caspian bighead goby Ponticola gorlap (Iljin, 1949), and the tubenose goby Proterorhinus cf. semipellucidus (Kessler, 1877).
