Enabling Digital Continuity in Virtual Manufacturing for Eco‐Efficiency Assessment of Lightweight Structures by Means of a Domain‐Specific Structural Mechanics Language: Requirements, Idea and Proof of Concept

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a solver‐agnostic domain‐specific language (DSL) for computational structural mechanics that strengthens interoperability in virtual product development. Using a hierarchical data model, the DSL enables seamless exchange between diverse simulation tools and numerical methods.

Interactions between Molten High‐Silicon Electrical Steels and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

Searching for singlet vector-like leptons via pair production at ILC

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
Vector-like leptons (VLLs) as one kind of the most intriguing particles, have been widely concerned in several extensions of the Standard Model (SM). In this work, we explore the discovery potential of VLLs via pair production in the context of models ...

On Krylov complexity in open systems: an approach via bi-Lanczos algorithm

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Continuing the previous initiatives [1, 2], we pursue the exploration of operator growth and Krylov complexity in dissipative open quantum systems. In this paper, we resort to the bi-Lanczos algorithm generating two bi-orthogonal Krylov spaces, which ...

Neutrino Physics (CERN-2014-001)

open access: yes, 2014
I give a theoretical overview of some basic properties of massive neutrinos in these lectures. Particular attention is paid to the origin of neutrino masses, the pattern of lepton flavor mixing, the feature of leptonic CP violation and the ...

Unidirectional Tape‐Based Composites from Hemp and Pineapple Leaf Fiber: Mechanical Performance in Conventional and Bio‐Based Matrices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The study investigates novel semi‐finished products made of unidirectionally arranged hemp or pineapple leaf fiber‐reinforced composites produced from different matrices. The materials are analyzed in terms of their mechanical and interfacial properties and void content.

NNLO QCD corrections to weak boson fusion Higgs boson production in the H → b b ¯ $$ \overline{b} $$ and H → WW * → 4l decay channels

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We compute the next-to-next-to-leading order QCD corrections to Higgs boson production in weak boson fusion followed by its decay to a b b ¯ $$ \overline{b} $$ pair or to a pair of leptonically-decaying W bosons.

Searching for New Physics with Charm [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
We consider the prospect of using the charm system as a laboratory for probing new physics. The theoretical expectations for rare charm meson decays, $D^0-bar D^0$ mixing, and charm quark asymmetries in $Z$ decays are examined in the Standard Model.

Sustainable Synthesis of Bio‐Based Magnetic and Conductive Wood for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A wood‐based magnetic and conductive material called Magwood (MW), capable of blocking almost 99.99% of electromagnetic waves (in the X‐band frequency range), is synthesized using a simple, solvent‐free process. MW is lightweight, resists water, and is flame‐retardant, making it a promising alternative for shielding electronics. The rapid proliferation
