On the Square Speed of Sound in High-Energy Collisions: Range of Values and How to Understand It
After reviewing the sound speeds in various forms and conditions of matter, we investigate the sound speed of hadronic matter that has decoupled from the hot and dense system formed during high-energy collisions.

Theoretical studies in high energy nuclear physics. Progress report [PDF]
This paper is a progress report for the period 1-1-93 to 6-30-95 on a project primarily directed at the application of high energy physics techniques to nuclear structure studies, and the ability to study hadron dynamics through interactions with nuclear targets.

Holographic Multiquarks in the Quark-Gluon Plasma: A Review
We review the holographic multiquark states in the deconfined quark-gluon plasma. Nuclear matter can become deconfined by extremely high temperature and/or density. In the deconfined nuclear medium, bound states with colour degrees of freedom are allowed

A Mellin space approach to the conformal bootstrap
We describe in more detail our approach to the conformal bootstrap which uses the Mellin representation of CFT d four point functions and expands them in terms of crossing symmetric combinations of AdS d+1 Witten exchange functions. We consider arbitrary

NLO automated tools for QCD and beyond [PDF]
Theoretical predictions for scattering processes with multi-particle final states at next-to-leading order (NLO) in perturbative QCD are essential to fully exploit the physics potential of present and future high-energy colliders.

An analytic analysis of the pion decay constant in three-flavoured chiral perturbation theory
A representation of the two-loop contribution to the pion decay constant in SU(3) chiral perturbation theory is presented. The result is analytic up to the contribution of the three (different) mass sunset integrals, for which an expansion in their ...

Investigations in Experimental and Theoretical High Energy Physics
We report on the work done under DOE grant DE-FG02-01ER41155. The experimental tasks have ongoing efforts at CERN (ATLAS), the Whipple observatory (VERITAS) and R&D work on dual readout calorimetry and neutrino-less double beta decay. The theoretical task emphasizes the weak interaction and in particular CP violation and neutrino physics.

Jets with electrons from boosted top quarks
We propose a method to identify jets consisting of all the visible remnants of a boosted top quark decaying semileptonically with an electron in the final state.
