This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Mechanisms of Ventricular Fibrillation : The role of mechano-electrical feedback and tissue heterogeneity [PDF]
The heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood throughout the body. The human heart contracts approximately once per second, adding up to more than 2.5 billion contractions over 80 years.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Co-evolution of Social Networks and Behavior in Social Dilemmas: Theoretical and Empirical Perspectives [PDF]
Social networks play an important role in explanations of outcomes of social dilemmas; situations in which goal-directed individual action can lead to a collectively suboptimal outcome.

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

Systematic analysis of radiative symmetry breaking in models with extended scalar sector [PDF]
Radiative symmetry breaking (RSB) is a theoretically appealing framework for the generation of mass scales through quantum effects. It can be successfully implemented in models with extended scalar and gauge sectors.
