Correlations in multithermostat Brownian systems with Lorentz force
We study the motion of a Brownian particle subjected to Lorentz force due to an external magnetic field. Each spatial degree of freedom of the particle is coupled to a different thermostat.

Taking its cue from Jonathan Kramnick’s Criticism and Truth, ‘Theory on Theory’ this year examines some of the core practices that mark literary criticism and theory. In Section 1, Kramnick’s work, which focuses on criticism as a distinct writing practice, is reviewed, along with a brief consideration of teaching in the form of Fredric Jameson’s ...

ABSTRACT We conduct two experiments to examine whether and how the framing (bonus vs. penalty) of a target‐based incentive contract affects knowledge sharing and knowledge seeking. In the first experiment, we predict and find that penalty‐framed contracts increase employees' stress due to the fear of potential loss, which in turn reduces their ...

Kaon electromagnetic form factors in dispersion theory
The electromagnetic form factors of charged and neutral kaons are strongly constrained by their low-energy singularities, in the isovector part from two-pion intermediate states and in the isoscalar contribution in terms of $$\omega $$ ω and $$\phi $$ ϕ ...

ABSTRACT This paper examines private meetings between company managers and institutional investors as part of the broader financial reporting environment. Using direct observations of 39 such meetings across four large, listed companies—complemented with the study of preparatory work and internal documents—the paper investigates how these meetings help

Eigenvalue extraction from time domain computations [PDF]
In this paper we address a fast approach for an accurate eigenfrequency extraction, taken into consideration the evaluated electric field computations in time domain of a superconducting resonant structure.

Private Land Ownership: Tax or Socialize?
ABSTRACT This study compares the land reform concepts of Henry George and Silvio Gesell, both of whom rejected private appropriation of land rent as unjust. While George proposed to “hollow out” private land ownership through a comprehensive land value tax, Gesell aimed at full socialization of land combined with lease auctions and compensation of ...
