Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Tangential velocity constraint for orbital maneuvers with Theory of Functional Connections

open access: yesScientific Reports
Maneuvering a spacecraft in the cislunar space is a complex problem, since it is highly perturbed by the gravitational influence of both the Earth and the Moon, and possibly also the Sun. Trajectories minimizing the needed fuel are generally preferred in

Automatically detecting neighbourhood constraint interactions using comet

open access: yes, 2008
The major benet of using events as the basis for our detection system is the clean separation between the neighbourhoods and detector which we can achieve. The detector simply iterates over a set of Neighbourhood objects and checks each for interactions.

A Simplified Laminar Flow Model for the Pultrusion of Glass Fiber/Polyethylene Terephthalate Commingled Yarns

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Folding Transformation Rules for Constraint Logic Programs

open access: yes, 2008
We consider the folding transformation rule for constraint logic programs. We propose an algorithm for applying the folding rule in the case where the constraints are linear equations and inequations over the rational or the real numbers. Basically, our

Additive Manufacturing of Continuous Fibre Reinforced Composites: Process, Characterisation, Modelling, and Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing provides precise control over the placement of continuous fibres within polymer matrices, enabling customised mechanical performance in composite components. This article explores processing strategies, mechanical testing, and modelling approaches for additive manufactured continuous fibre‐reinforced composites.

The Study of Abstract Economies with Two Constraint Correspondences

open access: yes, 2011
[[abstract]]We apply the Himmelberg fixed-point theorem to establish existence theorems of equilibria for generalized abstract economies with two constraint correspondences in which the strategic spaces may not be compact and the set of players may not ...

Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Fatigue Crack Initiation and Growth in Nanocrystalline Ni at Multiple Length‐Scales

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Overview of miniaturized in situ SEM fatigue setup and resultant fatigue crack growth data for nanocrystalline Ni. The presented study focuses on the analysis of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) in focused ion beam‐notched microcantilevers prepared from nanocrystalline (NC) Ni as a model material.

How effective is the quality constraint mechanism of agricultural socialized services?—Evidence from 1,138 farmers in Shandong, China

open access: yesFrontiers in Sustainable Food Systems
Constraint mechanisms of agricultural socialized services have been widely established, but how effective is the quality constraint mechanism remains unclear. However, the existing literature has not provided an answer to this question.
