Force balance and membrane shedding at the Red Blood Cell surface
During the aging of the red-blood cell, or under conditions of extreme echinocytosis, membrane is shed from the cell plasma membrane in the form of nano-vesicles.

Micropillar‐Engineered Hybrid Adhesive Patch for Surface‐Conformable and Directional Adhesion
This work presents a surface‐conformable hybrid adhesive integrating height‐optimized hexagonal micropillars with open‐rectangular cuts. The micropillars enhance rough‐surface contact and microscale crack arrest, while the cuts guide and reverse interfacial cracks for strong and directional adhesion. The multiscale architecture achieves robust pull‐off

Three isoparametric solid elements for NASTRAN [PDF]
Linear, quadratic, and cubic isoparametric hexahedral solid elements have been added to the element library of NASTRAN. These elements are available for static, dynamic, buckling, and heat-transfer analyses. Because the isoparametric element matrices are

FG beam thermal buckling analysis
This paper presents the thermal buckling analysis of functionally graded (FG) beams. As the temperature changes, the longitudinal fibers tend to extend in the axial direction. If the extension is disabled, axial stresses occur in the longitudinal fibers, which can cause the buckling.

Here, it is shown that focused ion beam induced deposition (FIBID) using helium and neon ions enables advanced high‐resolution 3D nanoprinting achieving precise multimaterial architectures and engineered internal voids. Thus, FIBID with finely focused noble gas ion species is presented as a unique platform for designing functional nanomaterials for ...

A stress‐normalised sensitivity metric (S = G/Y) is introduced as a materials‐level benchmark for intrinsically piezoresistive nanocomposites. By decoupling electromechanical response (G) from stiffness (Y), the framework enables direct comparison across diverse systems and clarifies design trade‐offs for wearable sensors.
