Thermal Conductivity Measurement of Cavity Lining Materials
Journal of Dental Research, 1971Measurement of the thermal conductivity of 11 different cavity lining materials showed that the materials possessed low thermal conductivity coefficients and that their respective values decreased from the first to the third measurement. Maximum and minimum values of thermal conductivity of the materials were compared with those of copper.

Measurement of thermal conduction by the thermal comparator
Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1962An approximate analysis is made of the heat flow associated with the use of the thermal comparator for the measurement of thermal conductivity. Consideration of the heat flow through the solid-solid constriction does not give a cooling rate proportional to the square root of the thermal conductivity as found experimentally, which suggests that ...

Thermal Wave Based Measurement of Liquid Thermal Conductivities
Heat Transfer: Volume 3, 2008This work develops an experimental technique capable of determining thermal conductivity of liquids with application to nanofluids. A periodic current passing through a thin stainless steel strip generates a periodic Joule heating source and an infrared detector measures the temperature response at the front surface of the stainless steel strip.

We have recently developed a technique to evaluate the thermal conductivity as a function of temperature for materials of relatively small dimensions (L/spl sim/2 mm, A/spl sim/0.05 mm/sup 2/). The parallel thermal conductance technique, or PTC, consists of an initial base-line thermal conductance measurement of a sample stage then a measurement of the

Thermal Conductivity Measurement of Tire Materials
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1980<div class="htmlview paragraph">The interest in improving vehicle fuel economy has prompted the development of a computer model to predict the power loss of a rolling tire. This model will allow rapid evaluation of the effects of various tire geometric and material properties on the tire power loss.

Thermal Conductivity Measurements
2017This thesis deals with non-stationary thermal conductivity measurement using point heat source. There are compared various measurements of thermal conductivity and designed own correction for pulse duration. The practical part describes created exemplar for possible use in laboratory exercises including achieved results and comparing with simulations.

A custom setup for thermal conductivity measurements.
Proceedings of The European Physical Society Conference on High Energy Physics — PoS(EPS-HEP2023)Future detector systems have increasing demands on the performance of their mechanical support structures and cooling systems. Novel materials and cooling technics are developed and continuously improved in order to fulfil these requirements. To quantify the thermal performance of these materials, a custom thermal conductivity measurement setup was ...

Measurement of thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and perfusion.
Biomedical sciences instrumentation, 1993This paper describes an experiment technique for the measurement of thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and perfusion using self-heated thermistors. Thermal probes are constructed by placing a miniature thermistor at the tip of a plastic catheter.
