Singlet state creation and Universal quantum computation in NMR using Genetic Algorithm
Experimental implementation of a quantum algorithm requires unitary operator decomposition. Here we treat the unitary operator decomposition as an optimization problem and use Genetic Algorithm, a global optimization method inspired by nature's ...

Dislocation‐Mediated Thermoelectric Performance and Mechanical Behavior
Dislocations can scatter phonons to reduce thermal conductivity, thereby enhance thermoelectric performance. However, dislocations also impact mechanical properties, leading to increased brittleness and altered plasticity. It is essential to clarify the complex relationship between dislocations, thermal transport, and mechanical stability to achieve a ...

Thermal Study on Adducts of Urea with n-Alkanes and n-l-Alkanols [PDF]
Crystalline adducts of urea with n-alkanes (C(8)~C(20)) and n-l-alkanols (C(12)~C(18)) were prepared. From thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction study on the adducts, we found that the composition of adducts and the heat of decomposition can be obtained

Ca2.5Ag0.3Sm0.2Co4O9 semiconductor materials are synthesized and produced in this study using the sol–gel and cold pressing techniques for thermoelectric generator applications. As template samples are added, the Seebeck coefficient and power factor values rise, peaking at 800 °C for Ca2.5Ag0.3Sm0.2Co4O9 at 274.47 μV K−1 and 0.58 mW mK−2, respectively.

Thermal decomposition analysis of simulated high-level liquid waste in cold-cap
The cold cap floating on top of the molten glass pool in liquid fed joule-heated ceramic melter plays an important role for operation of the vitrification process. A series of such phenomena as evaporation, melting and thermal decomposition of HLLW (high-

Health Hazard Manual for Firefighters [PDF]
[Excerpt] Firefighters, as well as victims, can be exposed to a variety of toxic substances during a fire. Some of these toxicants are particularly insidious because they are produced by thermal decomposition before smoke makes a fire ...
