Study on the influence of inlet air relative humidity on temperature and moisture of warehouse grain stack during ventilation

open access: yesLiang you shipin ke-ji, 2020
Temperature and moisture content are two important physical variables that play a considerable role in the study of quality changes during grain storage.

Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?

Low-Temperature Thermal-Energy Storage and Transmission Systems Employing Hydrophilic Polymeric Materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The wide fluctuations that occur in the aggregate electrical demand of a generating utility are punitive with respect to total system efficiency. Demand side management techniques have been applied to reduce such fluctuations including the conversion ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Extracellular matrix remodeling and immune reprogramming drive residual tumor progression of liver cancer after incomplete microwave ablation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Incomplete microwave ablation (iMWA) of liver cancer triggers a biphasic progression in residual tumors. At Day 3, the microenvironment is characterized by acute inflammatory responses and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. By Day 14, a profound shift occurs toward oncogenic signal transduction and immunosuppression, marked by macrophage ...

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

STUDY OF THE KINETICS OF THERMAL DECOMPOSITION OF LINDEN WOOD USING THERMOGRAVIMETRIC ANALYSIS IN AN AIR ATMOSPHERE

open access: yesEcology, Human, Society
The article investigates the kinetics of thermal decomposition of linden wood using TGA in air at a heating rate of 10–30 °C/min. Temperature ranges and mass loss were determined for the stages of dehydration, pyrolysis, and combustion of the carbon ...

An examination and prospect of stabilizing Li metal anode in lithium–sulfur batteries: A review of latest progress

open access: yesElectron, 2023
The Li metal anode emerges as a formidable competitor among anode materials for lithium–sulfur (Li‐S) batteries; nevertheless, safety issues pose a significant hurdle in its path toward commercial viability.

Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.
