Spacecraft thermal environments.

Journal of Spacecraft and Rockets, 1973
Definitions are given for spacecraft-surface thermal environment characteristics. Lumped-parameter thermal network modeling techniques are derived for spacecraft thermal environment analysis. The application of these techniques to thermal/vacuum testing is described. A major computer program required by these techniques is outlined.

Spatial differentiation of urban wind and thermal environment in different grid sizes

Urban Climate, 2019
Due to rapid urbanization, China's urban morphology has undergone tremendous changes, resulting in an increased urban heat island (UHI) effect and negative impact of thermal environment, especially in summer.

Standards for moderate thermal environments

Applied Ergonomics, 1985
Recently two Draft International Standards dealing with specifications of the conditions for thermal comfort (ISO DIS 7730) and measurement procedures (ISO DIS 7726) have been approved by the International Stadardisation Organisation (ISO). The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) has made a standard with ...

Relative importance of certain factors affecting the thermal environment in subway stations based on field and orthogonal experiments

, 2020
As subway stations in cold-climate regions typically have no heating systems, passengers often feel cold in such stations during winter. People desire a comfortable thermal environment, which is sensitive to certain factors.

Optimizing the Neonatal Thermal Environment

Neonatal Network, 2006
Devices used to maintain thermal stability in preterm infants have advanced over time from the first incubator reported by Jean-Louis-Paul Denuce in 1857 to the latest Versalet Incuwarmer and Giraffe Omnibed devices today. Optimizing the thermal environment has proven significant for improving the chances of survival for small infants.

On-site measured indoor thermal environment in large spaces of airports during winter

, 2020
In a number of airport terminals, check-in, departure, and arrival halls are characterized by large spans without partitions and several connections to the outdoor environment; hence, air distributions in such halls are complex.

Renewable and sustainable strategies for improving the thermal environment of Chinese solar greenhouses

Energy and Buildings, 2019
Chinese solar greenhouses (CSGs) play an important role in horticultural development, providing high-efficiency thermal storage performance compared to the other greenhouse styles. CGSs are fully passive solar greenhouses for vegetables without auxiliary
