Standardization of the Field of the Thermal Environment

2016
This paper deals with a chronological reconstruction of fundamentals forming the scientific base of International Standards for the assessment of thermal environments. The first part is devoted to description of the evolution of the topic by paying a special attention to the most active players in the past.

On the thermal field of a separating wall jet

Journal of Engineering Mathematics, 2001
The authors study thermal field of a separating wall jet. The structure of the jet near the point of separation is described by a free interaction in which the fundamental problem is to solve the boundary layer equations in a viscous sublayer close to the wall.

TEMPORAL DESCRIPTION OF THERMAL QUANTUM FIELDS

Modern Physics Letters A, 1992
By making use of time-dependent Bogoliubov transformations, we develop a calculation technique for time-dependent non-equilibrium systems of quantum fields in a time-representation (t-representation). The corrected one-body propagator in the t-representation turns out to have the form B−1 (diagonal matrix) B (B being a thermal Bogoliubov matrix ...

Thermal Field Theory

1996
Now in paperback, this text introduces the theoretical framework for describing the quark-gluon plasma, an important new state of matter. The first part of this book is a self-contained introduction to relativistic thermal field theory. Topics include the path integral approach, the real and the imaginary time formalisms, fermion fields and gauge ...

The thermalization process of an atom with the thermal radiation field

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2007
We study the time evolution of an atom suddenly coupled to a thermal radiation field. As a simplified model of the atom-electromagnetic field system we use a system composed of a harmonic oscillator linearly coupled to a scalar field in the framework of the recently introduced dressed coordinates and dressed states.

Thermal Field Theory

2013
During last few years, there has been a lot of interest in various phenomena at finite temperature, in quantum field theories. These include the early universe cosmology [1,2], astrophysics of compact stars [3] as well as the experimental programs in relativistic heavy-ion collisions in the context of quark gluon plasma (QGP) [4].

Polarization of ethanol under thermal fields

The Journal of Chemical Physics
Thermal fields induce thermal polarization and the buildup of a stationary net electric field in polar liquids. While the thermal polarization effect in water has been studied before, the coupling effects between heat and polarization fluxes remain unexplored in most polar fluids.

Rules for diagrams in thermal field theories

Physical Review D, 1994
Sets of rules are proposed that allow one to write down the amplitude associated with a diagram at temperature [ital T], once the energy running around each loop has been summed over, in the imaginary-time formalism. Alternative forms are given: one is based on tree diagrams, another one on possible intermediate states.

Thermal field theory

2017
Abstract After a review of the calculational approaches, the free energy of scalar particles in thermal equilibrium is calculated. The IR behaviour of mass-less scalar fields is examined, finding that a resummation of IR divergent terms is necessary.
