During last few years, there has been a lot of interest in various phenomena at finite temperature, in quantum field theories. These include the early universe cosmology [1,2], astrophysics of compact stars [3] as well as the experimental programs in relativistic heavy-ion collisions in the context of quark gluon plasma (QGP) [4].

Abstract After a review of the calculational approaches, the free energy of scalar particles in thermal equilibrium is calculated. The IR behaviour of mass-less scalar fields is examined, finding that a resummation of IR divergent terms is necessary.

A UNIFIED FORMALISM OF THERMAL QUANTUM FIELD THEORY
International Journal of Modern Physics A, 1994We present a comprehensive review of the most fundamental and practical aspects of thermo-field dynamics (TFD), including some of the most recent developments in the field. To make TFD fully consistent, some suitable changes in the structure of the thermal doublets and the Bogoliubov transformation matrices have been made.

Thermal Field Theory in a Nutshell
2017In this chapter we deal with the formalism of thermal field theory, namely we discuss the quantum field theory techniques that allow for perturbative calculations of observables involving particles in a medium.

Basics of Thermal Field Theory
2016This book presents thermal field theory techniques, which can be applied in both cosmology and the theoretical description of the QCD plasma generated in heavy-ion collision experiments. It focuses on gauge interactions (whether weak or strong), which are essential in both contexts.

Real- and imaginary-time thermal field theory
Physical Review D, 1993The formula is derived for the four-point real-time thermal Green's functions in terms of the analytic continuation of the four-point function in the imaginary-time ...

An Introduction to Thermal Field Theory
2016Thermal Field Theory (TFT) is a combination of all three basic branches of modern physics, namely quantum mechanics, the theory of relativity, and statistical physics. Therefore one could also call it statistical quantum field theory.
