Generalization of the thermal model of infrared radiation sensors
Microelectronics Journal, 2015In many theories and applications, generalized models can give a good head start for further research where the implementation of new elements and/or boundary conditions could become quite complex. In this paper the development of a compact thermal model of an infrared sensor will be presented.

Thermal and electrical behaviour of pvdf infrared matrix sensors
Ferroelectrics, 1995The thermal behaviour of layered sensor structures (with and without heat sinks) is analysed. It is found that the structure with heat sink, for instance a sensor consisting of a PVDF foil glued on a silicon chip, can be accurately described by a higher-order RC analog.

Infrared sensor modeling for realistic thermal image synthesis
1999 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings. ICASSP99 (Cat. No.99CH36258), 1999To generate realistic synthetic IR images, image acquisition by IR sensors must be reproduced. In this paper, we propose an IR sensor model based on physical laws governing effects involved in the IR imagery formation process. Our approach consists in a combination and an extension of current camera models used in visible and infrared image synthesis ...

New Method For Thermal Testing Of Infrared Sensors
SPIE Proceedings, 1990This paper describes a technique for conducting environmental tests of multi-spectral sensor systems. The method combines the advantages of field tests and the economics of laboratory experiments to provide an accurate test bed for predicting system performance for a wide range of temperatures.
