A dual‐functional Nb2O5 modulation strategy is reported to overcome kinetic limitations in Ni‐rich cathodes. The formation of LiNbO3 phase at the grain boundary of the polycrystalline NCM9055 cathode preserves a radially aligned microstructure and establishes fast lithium‐ion pathways.

This study achieves anisotropic thermal expansion tuning in Nd2(Co1‐xFex)17‐yCry compounds via a magnetoelastic strategy. Variable‐temperature synchrotron X‐ray diffraction reveals that increased Fe content induces switchable lattice responses. Compositional control reduces the volume expansion coefficient αV by 20% (x═0.7) and modulates TC (442–625 K),

Trapping of Thermal Neutrons, (II)
Concerning thermal neutron trap reactors, a comparative study of trapping media is made by an analytical approach especially to derive criteria of highly trapping media. Spherical and cylindrical shapes of media are analyzed in the two-group diffusion theory.

Study of pulse shape discrimination for a neutron phoswich detector
A portable phoswich detector capable of differentiating between fast neutrons and thermal neutrons, and photons was developed. The detector design is based on the use of two solid-state scintillators with dissimilar scintillation time properties coupled ...

Photonuclear Population of 229m,gTh in Th‐Doped Crystals Toward Nuclear Clock Development
This study demonstrates a novel photonuclear approach for producing the nuclear clock isomer 229mTh in thorium‐doped crystals, overcoming current supply limitations. Through cross‐section calculations and Monte Carlo simulations, we identify optimal crystal materials and irradiation conditions, achieving high signal‐to‐noise ratios.

Our work reports that Li⁺ doping in CuInP2S₆ induces coexistence of high‐ and low‐polarization states, which fosters a rich spectrum of topological polar textures, such as bubbles and labyrinth domains. An unconventional flexoelectric effect is also discovered, where strain gradients can mechanically manipulate these polarization states and their ...

Effective Thermal Properties of a HTS Transition Edge Bolometer for High‐Flux Neutron Detection
Many applications require monitoring of increasingly high neutron flux levels. Pre‐neutron characterization is performed of a superconducting transition edge bolometric device, sensitive to neutrons by an enriched boron carbide (10B4C) layer.

On the Ordering Mechanism of Cu+ in 2D van der Waals Multiferroic CuCrP2S6
Temperature‐dependent X‐ray single‐crystal diffuse scattering measurements of CuCrP2S6 in the (H, K, 0) plane reveal the gradual emergence and strengthening of short‐range order upon cooling from 230 to 170 K. At intermediate temperatures, diffuse features become pronounced and eventually lock into sharp incommensurate satellite reflections, indicating
