Robust decentralized stabilization of thermal-power plants
Proceedings of 2003 IEEE Conference on Control Applications, 2003. CCA 2003., 2004This paper develops a robust decentralized stabilization method of thermal-power plants using linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). This method guarantees robust stability and provides /spl Hscr/;/sub /spl infin// rejection of time-varying and norm-bounded parametric uncertainties.

Ocean Thermal Gradient Hydraulic Power Plant
Science, 1975Solar energy stored in the oceans may be used to generate power by exploiting thermal gradients. A proposed open-cycle system uses low-pressure steam to elevate water, which is then run through a hydraulic turbine to generate power. The device is analogous to an air lift pump.

Recent Application of Thermal Spray to Thermal Power Plants
International Thermal Spray Conference, 2009Abstract This paper presents recent developments in thermal spray coating technology for thermal power plants. As for thermal barrier coatings for gas turbines, to accommodate the high gas temperatures required to improve thermal efficiency, a new ceramic topcoat material with low conductivity was developed.

Comparison of Thermal Repowering Alternatives for Thermal Power Plants
2016In this study, thermal repowering alternatives were compared in terms of net installed power, net electrical efficiency, emissions, and unit electricity generation costs. Soma A thermal power plant with 2 × 22 MWe capacity, was simulated in Thermoflex with design parameters. Three different repowering alternatives were simulated to compare the results;
