Thermal quenching by phototransfer in LiF TLD-100
Physics in Medicine & Biology, 1981Describes an application of the phototransfer property of LiF TLD-100 in the quantitative estimation of a factor for thermal quenching for the high temperature glow peak (385 degrees C) relative to the TL in the temperature region 25-300 degrees C.

Thermal processes in quenching of steel
Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 19681. On quenching cylindrical samples in cold water and aqueous salt and alkali solutions film boiling is absent and nucleate boiling occurs. During nucleate boiling the surface of the sample is cooled uniformly. 2. When the temperature of the cooling liquid is raised to 50°C or higher intensive film boiling begins; it is characterized by ...

Thermal Quenching of Characteristic Fluorescence
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1969A model is proposed to explain qualitatively the dependence of the quenching temperature of a given fluorescent center on the choice of the host lattice. The model is tested on some actual cases.

Thermal quenching of photoluminescence in Ga(AsBi)
Journal of Applied Physics, 2015We report on a comparative experimental and theoretical study of the thermal quenching of the photoluminescence (PL) intensity in Ga(AsBi)/GaAs heterostructures. An anomalous plateau in the PL thermal quenching is observed at intermediate temperatures under relatively low excitation intensities.

The quenching stress in thermally sprayed coatings
Thin Solid Films, 1991Abstract Various material properties which influence residual stresses in plasma-sprayed deposits are examined. A simple expression to evaluate the residual stress in a plasma-sprayed coating is given for the case where the coating thickness is much smaller than the substrate thickness.

Thermal analysis of an infinite slab during quenching
Communications in Numerical Methods in Engineering, 2000Summary: This paper deals with finite element solution of two-dimensional convection-diffusion equation in an infinite domain, arising out of quenching of an infinite slab. The solution gives the quench front temperature as a function of various model parameters, such as Biot number and Peclét number.

Advanced Optical Materials
Abstract Zero‐dimensional (0D) organic‐inorganic hybrid metal halides have attracted intensive attention due to the excellent structure‐dependent photophysical property. Nevertheless, the controllable structural transformations remains enormous challenge.
