Thermal response test by improved test rig with heating or cooling soil

Transactions of Tianjin University, 2014
An improved test rig providing both the heat and cold source was used to perform thermal response test (TRT), and the line source model was used for data analysis. The principle of determining the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of test well can keep the heating or cooling rate constant, along with a reduced size of test rig.

Testing Transmission Lubricants: The Importance of Thermal Response

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part G: Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 1991
The performance of transmission systems, especially those of high criticality and specific torque capacity such as those in helicopters, depends strongly on lubricant behaviour. However, economic load capacity evaluation of lubricants involves the correlation of test results obtained from simple tests in order to predict service ...

Numerical evaluation of the Ground Response to a Thermal Response Test experiment

2013
A prerequisite for the correct design of vertical ground heat exchangers (or Borehole Heat Exchangers, BHE) for heat pump applications is the knowledge of the ground thermal properties, in particular the thermal conductivity. The Thermal Response Test is a well known experimental procedure that allows the ground thermal and the BHE thermal resistance ...
